Writers needed!

..single pieces, regular or erratic columns, reviews, reports, stories… What do you want to write about? What do you want to read about?

Are you participating in a WCKG design challenge? Were you at any of the Teachers From the Guild workshops? Do you have any stories about the history of the guild? Do you knit for Nova House or any other charity?

What we need most of all is information that represents what the guild does and is all about… what typical meetings are like, reports on various events, how people can get involved. Also features that are interesting and useful, for example a profile of a local charity that accepts knitted donations, with specific information about what items are most appreciated.

Is there anything you are interested in writing about, or something you’re involved in that you need a little help to find a story in?

Don’t worry about the technical stuff, it’s pretty straightforward and help is available if needed. You can even save drafts and/or have someone else look at your work in progress if you like. Or write in your favourite text editor and then just copy and paste it in here, or submit it by e-mail and we can post it for you.

Update Sept 06: We have volunteers available to help with editing or preparing photos. All we need is YOU!

There is a small but dedicated group of knitters on Mayne Island who are interested in (and are) knitting for charity. Unfortunately, due to geographical limitations access to a variety of charities is a challenge. They have an array of baby and children items that would dearly like a home. I am hoping there is a kind soul in the big bad city who could help distribute hand knit items to day cares, etc. Hope so. If you are a kind soul please contact me. Thank you.
